why join Jerusalem Lodge No. 26?

While Freemasonry traditionally does not typically make the “hard sell” among the broader community, there are compelling reasons why, especially today, that good men should seriously consider joining a lodge of Free & Accepted Masons and become initiated into the mysteries of masonry.

 

First, you would be among men who have an interest in improving themselves, and seek to be accomplished in their own right. Also, we do not discriminate by race, creed or religion (though you must not be an atheist to become a Mason). The lodge has both mentorship and regular educational programs as part of it's being "The Forge of Great Men."

While meeting men face-to-face has become a rarity, let alone having meaningful conversations, we meet in person, regularly on Tuesday evenings (in particular for Jerusalem Lodge No. 26; other lodges have different days they meet).

And, as society has become more polarized, digitized and monetized, the lodge is one of the last refuges where you can have an intelligent conversation with another man without fear of it degenerating into vitriol, or merely talking points regurgitated from the surface of a screen with the latest social media post or AI generated content. Consider: it would be unmasonic for a brother to indulge in such crude behavior, or seek to increase their own business, so the Masonic lodge has become one of the last refuges for today’s gentleman from the weariness of the world.
